Fab Falafel
No Gluten, no dairy, no wheat, no preservatives and no flavour you're thinking. Well, no! New from Larderfresh, these densely packed discs of organic chickpeas spiced with garlic, coriander and cumin taste seriously good. They're handmade, pre-cooked, then vac packed ready to heat and eat. Enjoy them as they come, daub in baba ghanoush or roll up in pita with rocket, tomato, grated Lebanese cucumber and freshly minted yogurt. If you prefer to DIY fry, like many of the middle Eastern food shops in Melbourne's north, try a kilo pack of the frozen variety. They're as good, but not organic.

Feb 26, 2006 - Harvest Picnic, Hanging Rock

It was a late summer's day in Hanging Rock for our third Harvest Picnic. This event was the launch of our Middle-Eastern Falafels with great success. Customers enjoyed samples of the falafels cooked and wrapped in flat-bread with salad as well as tastes of our ever-popular nougat. Our efforts resulted in being awarded a "Harvest Picnic Award of Excellence" for the third year running.
